Thousands attend memorial for Al Jazeera journalist — Shireen Abu Akleh

A memorial service for Al Jazeera correspondent Shireen Abu Akleh was held on
Thursday, a day after she was fatally shot while reporting on an Israeli military
raid on Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank. Thousands of mourners attended
the memorial at the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s residence,
where he said in a speech that he rejected Israel’s offer for a joint investigation
into the killing and vowed to take the case to the International Criminal Court.
